In this project my overall goal was to present questions and use design to expand on and address those same questions. A lot of my questions revolved around why the production of food in the united states is so secluded and detached from our every day lives.
How does this affect adolescent people, are they valuing food? do they understand where it even all comes from? how can design address these issues specifically. Can design take on these tasks in a specific aesthetic of interest? Does it become a brand?
This was the end result of the project, a puzzle talking about a few pieces of fruit/ veggies and underneath is a pattern which eludes to where it comes from.
Tracer helps the common user to decipher all the confusion of congress. As we know there are three branches of government in the united states, so lets focus on the legislative branch here...
It not only tells you who your representatives, and senators are based on your zip code... but it also helps you keep track of bills either being proposed, passed or killed.
Designed with this app is a public service announcement talking about one particular issue we face, and how we can tackle it starting with tracer.
Process Sketches and Final Result
These drawings are my first ideas on paper for my logo design. drawing everything first, I then started to break it down to two that were preferred or designs I could see multiple possibilities with. I then placed the designs in Illustrator and turned the drawings and sketches into vectors. These are my process steps that lead me to my final decisions.
This is an advertisement geared toward the Rhode Island Monthly - which tells people all about the things they can do in rhode island. My Goal through this video was to show people all the great things it could be if it were redesigned and applied in a clever way. How can a traditional medium become a form of entertainment and varieties of interests. I re-designed the traditional website and designed it into 3 platforms; Desktop, Phone, and Tablet.
This video also explains how it works and what to look for.
