Tracer helps the common user to decipher all the confusion of congress. As we know there are three branches of government in the united states, so lets focus on the legislative branch here...
It not only tells you who your representatives, and senators are based on your zip code... but it also helps you keep track of bills either being proposed, passed or killed.
Designed with this app is a public service announcement talking about one particular issue we face, and how we can tackle it starting with tracer.
This was an exhibit that we as juniors had to design for our design studio III. It was really implemented to help us work together, as a class and design a space which all of our work would not only interact well with other work, but also interact with users and viewers. We were broken into 4 groups, and we all had different parts of the show to work on. I worked with the take-away group, and we were in charge of creating a feature which people could walk away with. Something that reminded viewers of the space, and gave them a chance to interact more physically with things in the space. We also designed a map, which showed where the artists worked from observation to create the actual work in the exhibit. Photographs taken by Tasnima, her website is here .
As the Design Editor for The College Hill Independent I constantly work with other computer science majors, illustrators, writers, and editors to design the newspaper every week. I also take part in designing the platform for the website with copywriters. These are issues that I have worked closely with managing editors and writers to develop every week. If you are a bit more interested please check out our website here!
This is a collaboration video series directed and created by Ingrid Nelson and I. This project was created to celebrate the beauty in black hair, and inform others on its unique greatness.
We made this promotional video, to focus on curating content around the natural hair's intersection with history, art, identity. Haircare is self care: Healing, Creative and Communal.
This is an on-going project so stay tuned to what else is to come from Ingrid and I. Until then, enjoy our promotional video and small video series.
Process Sketches and Final Result
These drawings are my first ideas on paper for my logo design. drawing everything first, I then started to break it down to two that were preferred or designs I could see multiple possibilities with. I then placed the designs in Illustrator and turned the drawings and sketches into vectors. These are my process steps that lead me to my final decisions.
This is an advertisement geared toward the Rhode Island Monthly - which tells people all about the things they can do in rhode island. My Goal through this video was to show people all the great things it could be if it were redesigned and applied in a clever way. How can a traditional medium become a form of entertainment and varieties of interests. I re-designed the traditional website and designed it into 3 platforms; Desktop, Phone, and Tablet.
This video also explains how it works and what to look for.
